Last summer, IJM investigators conducted a prevalence baseline study in the Dominican Republic to assess the current levels of commercial sexual exploitation across the country. The data collected serves as a benchmark against which IJM’s impact can be assessed over future years of intervention. The team collected data on minors exploited in the commercial sex industry in 19 cities in the DR, and found that nearly 25% of those prostituted for sex in the streets, parks, and beaches around the country were minors.

Darling is committed to imparting dignity and value to all women, which is why we are proud to partner with IJM and to donate a portion of proceeds from the sale of our magazines specifically for the work being done to end sex trafficking in the Dominican Republic. We plan to regularly share updates on our website about the progress IJM is seeing in that country and we’re excited about the dedicated, compassionate pursuit of justice that this organization is spearheading worldwide.

Thank you for your support of Darling Magazine and because of that, your support for this organization.
