Refined In Florals

AnthropologieSpringFloralPants.31Bits-6

This is a post for those of us who don’t consider ourselves floral patterned women. We love a well placed floral print in our wardrobe, but there are a few ways to do it well and not end up feeling so frilly.

Choose a floral print in a classic color combo. We always think a pattern that includes neutral tones is easier to work into the rest of your existing wardrobe. A mostly navy floral pattern, like this antique floral print pencil skirt would go with a solid color top, or a fun graphic text or nautical striped tee.

Find a structured piece – like the slimming pencil skirt – in a print you love. The structure makes the print more grown-up for the office, or you can dress it down with sandals and a cami for when the weather starts to warm up. We’ve found that there are endless ways to style a pencil skirt, and no wrong way to style one either.

Choose neutral accessories – a pair of classic nude pumps or a monochromatic watch let the floral piece take center stage while still keeping the overall look polished and fresh. You can play up a color accent on the skirt with a more trendy nailpolish color, like this pale powder blue polish.

We hope this inspires you to experiment with some florals this spring … even if it’s still snowing and spring is taking it’s time making it’s way to you, a happy pattern always helps lift our moods on the darkest of days.

My family always say that I am killing my time here at web, but I know I
am getting knowledge every day by reading such pleasant articles or reviews.

Ooo love her outfit! I used to wear florals al the time but then there was that period when EVERYONE was wearing that 90’s floral dress and it was a bit over saturated. It’s starting to grow on me again…
