Vegan Post-Workout Smoothies

You’ve just finished another amazing workout and are feeling great. Or, if you are anything like me, despite your best intentions work has taken over and you simply didn’t have time to squeeze in that much needed exercise. So, after taking a breather, you’re now prepared to dive back into a workout regimen.

Part of keeping up a healthy routine is committing to eating the right whole foods to fuel your body. Start with one of these protein-rich, vegan, gluten-free shakes. They are absolutely delicious and full of nutrition, giving your body the energy it requires to support your wonder woman self. Whether you enjoy it as a post- workout power shake or as a mid-day pick me up, these shakes will leave you feeling satisfied and ready to take on the day.

Orange + Cinnamon Shake

Ingredients
1 Cup of Almond Milk (Almond Milk LA)
1/4 Cup Coconut Flesh, Young Coconut
1/2 Cup of Coconut Water, Young Coconut
1 Whole Orange, minus the peel.
1/4 Cup of Raw Cashews
1/8 Cup of Coconut Sugar
1/4 Tsp of Cinnamon
1 Cup of Ice

Mango, Mint + Parsley Shake

Ingredients
1 Cup of Almond Milk (Almond Milk LA)
1/2 Cup Coconut Flesh, Young Coconut
1/2 Cup of Coconut Water, Young Coconut
1 Mango
1/2 Cup of Parsley, Raw
1/4 Cup of Mint, Raw
1/4 Cup of Raw Cashews
1/8 Cup of Coconut Sugar
1 Cup of Ice

Directions:
Crack open head of young coconut. Strain coconut water into a bowl. Remove coconut Flesh using a spoon. Measure out ingredients for your desired shake and mix in blender until smooth. Adjust sugar to desired sweetness. (Each shake serves two.) Enjoy!
